What you'll learn

🔧 What is Chip-Level Repairing?

Chip-level repairing means fixing motherboard circuits instead of just replacing parts.

  • Normal technician → replaces RAM, HDD, screen
  • Chip-level technician → repairs ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, motherboard faults

Example:

  • Laptop not turning ON → you find faulty IC and repair it
  • Charging issue → fix power section circuit

🧠 What You Learn in This Course

1. Basic Electronics

  • Voltage, current, resistance
  • Multimeter use
  • Ohm’s law

2. Components Knowledge

  • Resistors, capacitors
  • ICs (Integrated Circuits)
  • MOSFET, diodes

3. Laptop Motherboard Repair

  • Power section troubleshooting
  • Short circuit detection
  • BIOS repairing
  • No display / dead laptop repair

4. Desktop Motherboard Repair

  • SMPS testing
  • CPU & RAM slot issues
  • Motherboard circuit tracking

5. Advanced Tools Training

  • Soldering & desoldering
  • BGA machine (for IC replacement)
  • Hot air gun
  • Microscope work

🧰 1. DSO Machine (Oscilloscope)

🔍 What is it?

DSO = Digital Storage Oscilloscope

👉 It is used to see electrical signals (waves) inside circuits.

⚙️ Use in Mobile Repairing

  • Check clock signal in CPU
  • Analyze data lines (RX/TX)
  • Detect faulty IC signals
  • Check charging waveform

🧠 Example

👉 Phone not turning ON

  • Multimeter shows voltage OK
  • But no signal → check with oscilloscope
  • ➡️ You find signal missing → faulty IC

🎯 Simple Meaning

👉 Multimeter = checks voltage

👉 Oscilloscope = checks signal behavior (live waveform)

🔋 2. DC Power Supply Machine

🔍 What is it?

A machine that gives controlled voltage & current to a phone motherboard

⚙️ Use

  • Turn ON phone without battery
  • Detect short circuit
  • Check power consumption

🧠 Example

👉 Dead phone:

  • Connect DC supply
  • If current jumps → short circuit
  • If no current → power IC issue

🎯 Key Use

👉 BEST tool for fault finding in dead phones

🔥 3. SMD Machine (Hot Air Gun / Rework Station)

🔍 What is it?

Machine that gives hot air to remove & fix small components (SMD parts)

⚙️ Use

  • Remove ICs
  • Remove resistors/capacitors
  • Replace charging IC
  • Reballing work

🧠 Example

👉 Charging IC damaged

➡️ Use hot air → remove IC → fix new one

⚠️ Important

  • Temperature control is critical
  • Too much heat = motherboard damage 😬

🔧 4. Micro Soldering Iron

🔍 What is it?

A very fine-tip soldering iron for precision work

⚙️ Use

  • Jumper wire connection
  • Small component soldering
  • Track repair
  • IC pin fixing

🧠 Example

👉 Track broken on motherboard

➡️ Use micro iron + jumper wire → repair connection
